A Post-doc fellowship is available financed by the European Community within the SSA Project ‘RamSoil'. |
The fellowship is part of the research activities of CERG (European Centre on Geomorphological Hazards), one of the specialized centres of the EUR-OPA Major Hazards Agreement of Council of Europe. The objective is to provide scientific guidelines on possibilities for harmonization of the current Risk Assessment Methodologies (RAMs). The selected soil threats are erosion, salinisation, organic matter decline, compaction and landslides. Objectives of the Post-doc Fellowship: |
1)
Inventory of current RAMs for landslides throughout the EU, through the collection of background information, interviews of experts, construction of a questionnaire and assessment of the questionnaire response. |
2)
Implement a user-friendly database integrating all information collected on RAMs for landslides. |
3)
Explore the differences in RAMs for landslides in view of differences across EU25 in terms of scientific basis, methodological approach, type of instrument, data requirement and availability. |
4)
Assess the possibilities for harmonisation of RAMs, in exploring which models, parameters and input data could and should be harmonised among the EU Member States. |
